Markel International, in affiliation with the IUA, would like to invite you to a market briefing designed to make your usage of the ECF system a whole lot easier. Plus, give you the opportunity to meet some of the technicians behind the system and find out more about the company market project.

Markel has been heavily involved in the adoption of this initiative having played a major role in the project’s steering committees and pilot schemes since 2003. This has allowed us to shape the system according to the needs of our brokers and has given the team at Markel an expert knowledge of how best to use the system.

The briefing is open to all and will take place on Wednesday, 20th February at Merchant Taylors' Hall, 30 Threadneedle Street, beginning with registration and breakfast from 8.45am. Presentations will begin at 9.15am and we anticipate the event will run for no longer than an hour.

The session will run as follows:

• Gerry Albanese, president and COO of Markel International, and Stuart Willoughby, claims director, will give a strategic view of market reform from Markel’s perspective

• Dave Matcham, chief executive of the IUA, will present an update on the progress of the company market system

• Regan Gilbert, claims manager, and Bernard Rice, senior claims adjuster, at Markel International, will then present a training session on helpful hints for a quick and efficient transaction.

A quick reference user guide will be distributed to all who attend.
