Markel International further strengthens claims capability with appointment of Tony Curtin as Claims Manager

Markel International, the specialty property and casualty insurer, has further strengthened the capability of its claims operations with the appointment of Tony Curtin as Claims Manager- Specialty, Property & Casualty

Tony, who will take up his position at the beginning of November, has over 26 years’ experience, working largely within the London market. Previous appointments include prominent claim positions within Lloyd’s London Company market and working in consultancy for Ellistons. Most recently he worked as Claims Manager for Casualty and Reinsurance for St Paul Syndicate Management Limited.

Stuart Willoughby, Claims Director at Markel International, said: “ Tony will be a great addition to our team. He is a highly experienced manager who will enhance our claims handling capabilities. Effective claims management and handling have an important role to play in both improving the service we offer brokers and clients, and in delivering the Markel commitment to profitable underwriting.”
