Markel International, the specialty property and casualty insurer, has announced the appointment of Henry Sturge as Open Market Property Underwriter within Non-Marine Property division. Henry joins the division to write open market business and will strengthen the underwriting capability of the existing team.

Conor Finn, Managing Director of Markel’s Non-Marine Property division commented. “ We see great opportunities in the current property market and Henry’s previous experience will enable us to build further on the success of the division. I feel certain that Henry will be a fabulous addition to our existing team”

Henry joins Markel International from SVB Syndicates, where he held the position of unit head of their US open market account.
