Markel (UK) Limited is to hold a series of regional technical seminars on employment law, in conjunction with the specialist employment division of Forbes, solicitors, which will further strengthen Markel’s aim to be a major insurer of employment risks for SMEs. The seminars will cover topics such as the workings of employment tribunals and the law on unfair dismissal and discrimination, as well as providing examples of interesting claims, recent legal developments and the insurance solutions available to protect companies against the growing tide of employment relations disputes.

The seminars have been accredited by the CII for the purposes of CPD training and invitations have been sent to over 400 of Markel (UK) Limited's supporting brokers.

Seminars will be held at the following locations:

30th January - Thorpe Park near Leeds (North East)
4th February - The Belfry (Midlands)
13th February - Haydock Park (North West)
18th February - Newbury (South Home Counties and South West)
25th February - Cambridge (East Anglia and North Home Counties)
