John Hearn is set to join Markel International as protection and indemnity underwriter.  John joins from Shipowners’, a P&I insurer for specialised craft.  John is currently the head underwriter for Canada, India, UK and West Africa and the super yacht portfolio and has also worked on other geographical areas including Europe.

John has worked in the insurance sector in a variety of underwriting roles for almost twenty years and has proven technical ability, with a track record of success.
